Commercial Roof
inspection and maintenance - Most roofing manufacturers recommend
inspections once or twice a year, especially in Minnesota where seasons
typically include harsh conditions. Inspections help to identify potential
problem areas-such as water ponding after heavy rains or areas damaged
by sleet or snow-and expose areas that might be in need of frequent
attention, such as caulking details and flashings.
Gutter repairs
and cleaning - Regular inspection and maintenance are crucial for
keeping gutters and downspouts in good working order. We suggest inspecting
them in the autumn and spring. We'll check them out for you and clean
out accumulated leaves and other debris. Then we'll check the slope
of the gutters by running water through them. If drainage is slow, we'll
reposition the gutters for the correct slope.
Roof snow and
ice removal - Our maintenance department is well skilled in ice
dam prevention and removal, water flow problems, as well as knowing
the inner workings of virtually every type of roofing system on the
market. This department is able to get to the root of any problem and
properly repair it.
Heating cable
installation for roofs and gutters - Heated cable in the gutters
reduces ice buildup and ice dams because the heated cable encourage
ice melt and provides a path for melting ice to leave a roof so that
it is drained properly.
Curb flashing
- We flash HVAC units, skylights, plumbing stacks and any other roof
penetration on EPDM and BUR roofs.
Chimney flashing
and saddles - Flashing provides extra protections to roofs where
they need it most - that is anywhere runoff is heavy or where two different
opposing surfaces meet. Most flashing is made of galvanized sheet metal.
Copper flashing is custom fabricated for use with copper roofs and some
specialty applications.
